Rachel Weisz: a wicked witch in "The Wizard of Oz"

Gone are the hook-nosed witch, the trend is the sexy witch. After Mila Kunis (see news), it is the turn of Rachel Weisz joined the cast of the new Disney movie inspired by the Wizard of Oz in the role of an ugly witch. Directed by Sam Raimi, to whom we owe the saga of Spider-Man, Oz, The Great and Powerful will be a prequel which takes place thus before the famous film music from 1939 worn by Judy Garland.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rachel Weisz, which was recently seen in Lovely Bones, camping Evanora, a powerful witch who does everything in its power to take control of Oz from the hands of its owner, a seller of oil and illusionist, played by James Franco. She is desperate to win his fight, including to rally to his cause Theadora her younger sister (Mila Kunis), a friendly witch.

This role will mark a turning point in the career of Rachel Weisz, who, despite winning an Oscar for his performance in The Constant Gardener, has never worked on a project of this magnitude. This is the Disney magic!
