Queen Elizabeth officially celebrated his 85th birthday last Saturday (June 11). The Queen was born on April 21 but the British sovereign's birthday is officially celebrated in June when the weather is generally more pleasant for the festivities. 1300 officers and 300 players were present for the ceremony known as "Trooping the Colour." As might be expected, Kate Middleton and Prince William have somewhat stolen the limelight from the Queen.
The newlyweds made an appearance from the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Since their marriage last April where they could watch the air show in honor of the birth of the British sovereign. It was their second appearance on the famous balcony! For the ceremony the Duchess of Cambridge was dressed in white with an elegant black hat, while the prince had left his red uniform.
William, who was appointed in February colonel "Irish Guards" took for the first time Saturday, a place in the parade on horseback, with other members of the royal family, including his father, Prince Charles and the Princess Anne. Catherine joined the ceremony to open carriage with Camilla, wife of Prince Charles and Prince Harry, cheered by the crowd, taking the same route as on his marriage last April 29.
A second carriage carrying the Queen, dressed in light blue. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, then spent the day Sunday, June 12 with family at 90 years Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. For 90 years of his grandfather, Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton have once again demonstrated elegance.
The couple arrived aboard an old Rolls-Royce ... simplemement Kate was gorgeous, wearing a blue coat embroidered and perched on shoes with heels discoveries. Prince William stood at his side, holding the umbrella over the head of his fine. They are then engulfed the St George's Chapel to find the other guests.
Kate Middleton and Prince William have fulfilled their obligations princely weekend without a hitch!
