The verdict is out. Samy Naceri has been sentenced to five years in prison, no parole for sixteen months - in a dispute with his former girlfriend - shot in the throat with a knife, a friend called for help by the latter. The man had to be hospitalized. The fact date back to 2009. Having already served part of his sentence in custody and receiving a suspended sentence of three years and eight months, the player should not return to prison.
A decision which was welcomed by his lawyer: "This will enable Samy Naceri continue to rebuild, because the sentence he was ordered not led in any way to return to detention." Justice was also ordered to pay 27,000 euros to the victim and a probation a duty of care, and not to meet the victim.
The hero of Taxi is not his first conviction. In 2007, Samy Naceri was sentenced to ten months in prison for acts of violence on a stylist. In 2009, he was also convicted for causing an accident with a police officer while driving without a license. His lawyer said he will soon begin shooting a film directed by Claude Lelouch.
