What she would not do for love? Charlene Wittstock, a woman marrying Prince Albert of Monaco in July, has converted to Catholicism for its religious marriage with the heir to Monaco. "Miss Charlene Wittstock who profess the Christian faith, was admitted by a free personal decision, to full communion in the Catholic Church", announced on Monday a statement from the Palace of Monaco.

Originally South African, Charlene was a Protestant while her future husband, Prince Albert II, is Catholic. No gifts mariageAprès they met in 2009, Prince Albert, 53, and Charlene Wittstock, swimmer than twenty years his junior, have announced their engagement last July. The civil marriage will take place on 1 July in the Throne Room of the Palace, while a religious ceremony will be held the next day in the courtyard.

Heads of states to royalty through celebrities, 3,500 people handpicked to attend the ceremony. For the record, the bride and groom said they did not want wedding gifts but they transfer the collected funds to humanitarian organizations. A choice that should delight many guests who, in addition to doing a good deed will not need to rack their brains to find creative gifts.
