Jean-Michel Jarre: a free concert at the marriage of Prince Albert and Charlene

The Principality of Monaco has seen great things for the wedding of his Prince Albert II and his fiancee Charlene Wittstock. If you already knew that the festivities would take place over two days on 1 and July 2, Nice Matin revealed today that Jean-Michel Jarre will be the guest of honor at the wedding.

While 50,000 people are expected in Monaco at the royal wedding, the couple decided to offer its inhabitants a free concert by the famous French composer. After the civil ceremony to be held on July 1 at 17h in the Throne Room of the Palace of Monaco, Albert and Charlene will greet the crowd from the balcony of the Hall of Mirrors before inviting all Monegasques a huge reception from 20h on Port Hercule.

At 22:30, Jean-Michel Jarre will take the stage for "two hours of free entertainment that combines light, sound and videos," wrote Nice Matin. "This show promises to be magical and historic," said Salim Zeghdar, the organizer of the event in the daily newspaper. The man says that a device size will be set up for the occasion.

"Everything will be done to accommodate people (...) The station will strengthen its system and parking are free. The trains will run until 3 am, buses will be provided. The marriage of Albert and Charlene is likely to overshadow another princely union looming in the weeks to come: that of Prince William of England and Kate Middleton.
