MTV Video Music Awards: Katy Perry at the top of appointments

The Teenage Dream Katy Perry continues. The singer has garnered nine nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards last night, making her the most nominated artist this year, to Adele, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé. Katy Perry is present in most categories of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, which reward every year the best clips and videos.

With his hits "Firework" and "E. T", the singer is particularly the running for best video of the year, best pop video, best female video, best collaboration and best director. The second step of the podium, one finds the British singer Adele, who has tracked down seven nominations for his song "Rolling in the Deep" from the second album, "21".


Same number of nominations for rapper Kanye West. For his part, Bruno Mars is named four times to the video for his song "Granada". As for surprises, Lady Gaga is named three times to the VMAs this year, like Beyoncé.
