Anne Sinclair dethrones Carla Bruni in the heart of the French

For several months, political pollsters think only one thing. A duel vs Nicolas Sarkozy Dominique Strauss-Kahn at the next presidential election. But there is another pair of "rival" is much talked about. Carla Bruni and Anne Sinclair, the respective wives of the two politicians. Rival in the polls obviously, since there is no evidence that the two women feel as an individual competing against each other.

And then, surprise! Carla Bruni tumbles. It has everything to be popular and admired. It does not bother n'immisce sings well and not in politics. An anti Danielle Mitterrand or Bernadette Chirac. Carla Bruni knows though a drastic fall in popularity polls. Our colleagues from Paris Match published a survey by the polling institute Ifop.

The difference is impressive. To the question "Of the two following figures, which do you prefer?", 65% of French meet Anne Sinclair. The First Lady, she collects only 31% of the vote. The unpopularity of Nicolas Sarkozy Carla Bruni leaden These figures are strikingly similar to the scores registered by their respective spouses.

In the same poll, the same question, respondents are 64% preferred Dominique Strauss-Kahn and 33% support Nicolas Sarkozy. Carla Bruni, who still seems popular than her husband, visibly suffers the unpopularity of President of the Republic. It is true that we very often equates "women" to the ideas of their husbands.

Anne Sinclair is in the eyes of respondents, necessarily left, right and Carla Bruni. The popularity of women politicians would be, in general, proportional to the person who shares their life. By contrast, Carla Bruni seems more popular among 18-24 year olds (42%), a generation that has not seen Anne Sinclair on television.

Surprise too, as you might think that the electorate supports the right of the wife of head of state, quite the contrary. Only 53% of UMP supporters say they like Carla Bruni (43% for Anne Sinclair), while they support Nicolas Sarkozy at 71%.
