Carla Bruni-Sarkozy: Woody Allen's acclaimed

Rumors say the final cut. If Carla Bruni-Sarkozy did not appear in the upcoming Woody Allen film, this would be the last straw. The director of Manhattan and Vicky Cristina Barcelona is full of praise about the short delivery of the first lady of France. While in Rome for his next feature film, new declaration of love to a European city, Woody has obviously been on his latest interview, which will be presented early on in Cannes.

About his Parisian romantic comedy, director of 75 years, so it stopped on its collaboration with Carla: "She plays a refined and cultivated guide the Rodin Museum and could not be more credible, because it radiates intelligence and culture. I did not want it any actress (...), I need someone who, in describing the work of Rodin, gives the impression of knowing what she speaks.

Carla manages to communicate that feeling to perfection. " That cut short the rumors that the provision of the former supermodel would have been particularly low. Woody also explained why he chose to shoot the first lady of France despite some difficulties and controversies inevitable: "I met Carla Bruni a few years ago and I discovered a very beautiful woman, very natural.

I asked him to take a small role in the film, promising it would not last more than three days. I could not pretend to retain a month on a platter the wife of a president! (...) She agreed, saying she would like one day when she was a grandmother, show the film to his grandchildren, saying: "You see, she is me!" This is understandable ...

Midnight in Paris will be presented next May 11 opening of the 64th Cannes Film Festival.
